"Keel" is an improvised composition, borrowing its shapes opportunistically from Hilary's "dovetail" pattern. It was composed like a written or typed note- with 'characters' laid down in a sequence, from left to right, in rows. Special attention was paid to the interactions between the characters and the negative spaces they form, invoking the character of letterpress typesetting.
A medium long, wider style- very versatile. Knitted in a reverse jacquard, with an especially striking inverse colour- way on the reverse.
